How to test the TV remote buttons

To check if your TV Remote buttons are working properly you need to follow any
one of the below methods.

Method 1 - Using Camera

1. First, you need a camera without IR filter in it
2. Now place the camera such that IR Led of the remote should be facing it
3. Now press each button of the remote
4. When a button is pressed, you should be able to see the IR Light which means your button is working fine
5. Now do this for all the buttons of your TV Remote to check each and every button

Method 2 - Using Multimeter

1. First, you need a Multimeter with IR detecting function in it
2. Now place the Multimeter such that IR Led of the remote should be facing it
3. Now press each button of the remote
4. When a button is pressed, you should be able to see the LED lit up which means your button is working fine
5. Now do this for all the buttons of your TV Remote
